This week’s theatre news by Dr. Bruce Caldwell Due to circumstances beyond our control the Sampson Community Theater's production of "Dreamgirls" is being delayed by one week which means opening night will be on April 18 at 7:30pm with other shows on Saturday April 19 at 7:30pm and Sunday April 20 at 4pm. The following week there will only be one performance, that being on Sunday April 27 at 4pm. Be that as it may, the sets and backdrops are ready thanks to a lot of effort from Lisa Cain, Jeff Warren and his daughter Sarah, and Mike Buczynski; the cast gets another week to smooth their performances; and the weather is turning warmer, the foliage is appearing on the trees, the pollen season is upon us, and flowers that have waited all winter are beginning to bloom....so things can't be all bad except maybe the pollen. This Saturday auditions for "Doo Wop Wed Widing Hood" will be held at 10am. This is a children's show for actors, singers and dancers aged 4 and older. Opens on May 27th. Don't forget to call Angela Martin at 567-6458 if you are needing more information about the Sampson Community Theaters 3rd annual Childrens Theater Workshop which will be held July 7-11. This will be a full week of theater education which will prepare the participants to perform in stage productions for their churches , schools and the community theater. As an added bonus there will be a short play performed by the attendees for their friends and family members and will give the actors some on stage experience in front of a live audience.

Don't tell your friends about your indigestion. "How are you" is a greeting, not a question. We are not human beings going through a temporary spirit experience. We are spritual beings going through a temporary human existence. Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement. |
